User Rating: / 3
PoorBest

Located within Cockaponset State Park Pattaconk pond serves as a local swimming and fishing hole to those in Haddam, Killingworth, Chester, and Higganum Connecticut.  Pattaconk was inserted into the forest in 1932 and comes from Native American language meaning "round" or "wigwam shaped hill".  The pond stretches 56 acres and only actually covers the lands of Higganum, Chester, and Killingworth.  The pond includes a man made damn near a 7 foot high diving area and is home to different fish including Bass, Trout, and sun fish as well.
